LAST CALL – ONLY 19 SPOTS LEFT FOR FREE ONLINE COURSE
NEW Racehorse Respiratory Health course offered exclusively to the Ontario racing industry
Are respiratory issues affecting your horses’ performance on the track? In the 2017 Ontario Horse Racing Industry Survey conducted by Equine Guelph, ‘respiratory issues’ was ranked the #1 health issue.
Equine Guelph has developed this new two-week online short course and is offering it exclusively for the racing industry to reduce the risk of respiratory issues in your barn, and improve your horse’s performance on the track!
The online course Instructor is Dr. Janet Beeler-Marfisi – researcher, assistant professor and a diagnostic Clinical Pathologist at the Ontario Veterinary College. Her research is on equine lung disease including mild equine asthma and exercise-induced pulmonary hemorrhage. Beeler-Marfisi has always had an interest in horse health, having grown up around her father’s Standardbreds and having married a Standardbred racehorse trainer.
Dr. Patricia Hogan from the Hogan Equine Clinic in New Jersey will join as Guest Expert. The majority of her patients are referred for fracture repair, arthroscopy, or upper airway surgery, with the bulk of her caseload consisting of Thoroughbred and Standardbred racehorses.
Never taken an online course before? No worries! Course takes a common sense, practical approach to training. “24/7” access is available. Go online at your convenience. No prior online learning experience required.
